Inside an old 2-plate ceiling rose

A 2-plate ceiling rose has four terminal blocks inside: L (live/line), N (neutral), E (earth/CPC), and Sw (switched live). Three cables connect: the loop-in feed (mains supply), the switch wire drop (carries live to the switch and returns switched live), and the pendant (carries switched live and neutral to the lamp). Wire the loop-in cable first, then the switch drop, then the pendant.
